In 1933, two pilots of Lithuanian origin boarded a small plane, directed it towards Europe, and made history.<\/span><\/p>\n

What happened next became the stuff of legend. What happens in this scene will take your breath away.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201e"Lithuanica"\u201c<\/strong> is a breathtaking new musical inspired by the true story of Steponas Darius and Stasys Gir\u0117nas \u2013 two immigrants with an impossible dream, an unbreakable bond and the courage to undertake one of the most daring transatlantic flights in aviation history. Their story has been waiting ninety years for a stage worthy of it. This stage is here. This moment is now.<\/span><\/p>\n

From the first note to the last scene, \u201eLituanica\u201c unfolds like a cinematic epic brought to life \u2013 expansive, intense, emotional in the best sense of the word. Spectacular performances. A resonant, uplifting musical score. Choreography that draws you into the whirling world of 1930s America and doesn\u2019t let you go until the very end. Stunning set design transforms the stage into runways, ballrooms, immigrant quarters, and the endless, terrifying expanse of the Atlantic sky. Nearly 50 actors and dancers embody this world with such dedication that you\u2019ll forget you\u2019re sitting in a theater.<\/span><\/p>\n

And music.<\/span><\/p>\n

The score of the performance features 30 original pieces \u2013 a wonderful synthesis of contemporary musical theatre, American jazz, Lindy Hop rhythms, 1930s cabaret and Lithuanian folklore motifs, interwoven like a thread connecting the old world with the new. It is nostalgic and modern at the same time. Familiar and unexpectedly new. Music that stays with you long after the final chords have fallen silent.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the center of it all are two men and one dream.<\/span><\/p>\n

Darius and Gir\u0117nas were not generals or presidents. They were immigrants \u2013 ordinary people with extraordinary ambitions in a country that was not their homeland but had become their home. They believed that flight could do what borders or politics could not: connect nations, bring communities closer, remind the world that Lithuanians exist, matter, and are capable of great things. Their plane, the Lituanica, was more than an aircraft. It was a statement.<\/span><\/p>\n

Created by an international team of artists, historians and aviation enthusiasts, the production combines meticulous historical accuracy with the full power of contemporary performing arts. The costumes, set design, acting \u2013 everything is designed to honor the true story while making it feel alive and relevant to today\u2019s audience.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, beneath the external impressiveness lies an even deeper meaning.<\/span><\/p>\n
